    What I liked most:

    - How the author uses the outdated and russophile spelling for Kyiv...
    - How analysts are labeled "pro-Ukrainian when they are not overtly regurgitating russia's talking points

Again, you're consistently posting leftists... the author says one of the chief tenets of Capitolism is pseudoscience and based in racism. Its not that he disagrees on a few points, his ENTIRE perspective is antithetical to conservative principles and it is fitting he supports an authoritarian government.
what the heck are you talking about? The article is about Ukraine, not Belgian Rwanda a century ago etc. The question is whether the city and rail connections are important, and if so, what is happening there. And by the way, money is capital. Capitols are buildings. But hey, just post a meme.

More proof that Ukraine is not calling the shots, ie it’s a proxy war. https://responsiblestatecraft.org/nuland-ukraine-peace-deal/
    Lol

Just as today, in April 2022 Ukraine refised to sacrifice any of their territory, and ruzzia was not willing to withdraw, leaving it to the battlefield to determine the future.

There was absolutely zero desire from either side to negotiate then and nothing has changed. Putin cannot back down without looking weak (as he is) and few in Ukraine are willing to hand over land to a historic opressor, especially knowing in a few years ruzzia would likely attack again...

If someone is selling a car for $1,000,000 and you are only willing to pay $10,000 for a car are you going to spend your time trying to meet and negotiate? If they know your budget are they going to spend their time with you? It doesn't rake a 3rd party for both sides to know there would be no deal.

Ukraine, as the article points out, had agreed to the ceasefire until the US (etc) intervened.

There would have been no deal whether the US pushed for it or not...

you have repeatedly denied that the US intervened to stop the deal, so you’re about the last person who should be telling others what its chances of success were. Maybe it wouldn’t have succeeded, but if the US gov had your confidence that it wouldn’t be successful they wouldn’t have intervened. So there most certainly was a chance that they wouldn’t have reached agreement.

How can there be intervening when nothing was going to happen...

Me encouraging someone who is walking along the sidewalk (and fully intending to continue along it), to keep walking on the sidewalk isnt intervention...

if you know they are going to keep walking on the side walk you don’t need to tell them to stay on the sidewalk. You tell people to stay on the sidewalk because youre expecting them to not stay on the sidewalk.

But once again, you repeatedly denied that we intervened. You don’t have the slightest clue how it would have played out if we didn’t.

How can there be inteferening when nothing could happen different than the observed result?
