Yukon was an arctic wolf that was part of our family for almost 14 years. His physical condition had deteriorated to the point where it was cruel to keep him going. In this 8 year old picture, he was napping on the couch when the blue healer decided she needed a nap too.

Yukon is beautiful, your sorrow is shared.
Thank you for taking the pain of loss to ease his suffering.
    It's so hard.

I just woke up to find that our 14 year old standard poodle, Harley has died. He was a stalwart companion for me and a shoulder to cry on for my wife. When my MIL passed 13 years ago, my wife was alone except for Harley. He was the only physical shoulder she had to cry on. Farewell good friend.

So sorry to hear this - do you have any pictures of Harley?
Hard times for you today; blessing though, for him to pass in his sleep like that, especially at home. ((hugs))

When he was 7 years old, he tore the ACLs in both hind legs. We could not afford the $6000.00 per leg repair so he never walked normally.

This guy....he looks happy, but that's actually stress cause he's at the vet for a minor eye infection. Spent 5k in the spring for a rework of his rear driver's side knee. Between this one and my other, I think these dudes cost me more money than my 13 year old daughter. Love the little bastards though.
