I had a compact double stack in 380 Taurus that was a turd. It wouldn't do a complete mag without multiple malfunctions.

Was it a metal frame or polymer frame?

Sorry for the late response but it was a polymer frame with a double stack magazine. I think it was a 12-13 round capacity and a compact grip.

Sounds about right. Taurus made a Beretta 84 clone that had a good reputation. It was the polymer guns that took them a while to work out the bugs....

I currently have or have had about 12 Taurus semi-auto pistols (chambered in .380acp, 9mm and .45acp) over the last many years… plus several (8?) of their revolvers (chambered in .22lr, .22wmr, .38spl, .380acp and .45colt)

My experience has been— I haven’t had any more issues with thrir firearms than I have with the myriad of other brands I’ve owned

I've had this one for 12 years and shot hundreds of rounds through it with no problems whatsoever. It is very accurate and easy to carry.

I have the .45ACP version since 2009 & love it. Zero problems, same size as a G26 but with 10+1 in .45. Never a problem. My GS has it now in H-town as his edc in an OY6 kydex IWB.

Hoping to get the GX4’s in .30SC.
