A few years back I purchased some custom 1911 grips. One set had the Republic of Texas seal, and the other set had the state seal. That particular guy went out of business and I recently found someone who made me a couple of sets that I like a lot. I’m always looking for something new. Please post pics of your favorite grips.

Custom AlumaGrips that were made over a decade ago (https://www.alumagrips.com/). The name is blurred out at the bottom of the emblem to protect the mostly innocent.

I've had mesquite grips and some other fancy ones that weren't very practical. Some woods have to be milled thick in order to be durable; the mesquites cracked under about 0.5 ounces too much pressure on the screws; and I like a bit of aggressive texturing wherever I can get it. The AlumaGrips fit the bill.

And now that I'm bringing it up, I think I'll get a new custom-etched set for a commander-sized gun. Great. You guys just cost me another $100...
