Going back to the debate. I just watched the Patrick Bet-David analysis of the debate and something dawned on me. About half way through the debate Trump was asked about his possibly going after his political opponents. I have heard from many sources on the internet that he dodged that question. A couple questions then came to mind. If Trump is the criminal is their belief, and the Biden administration is right in what they have done, what are they worried about? Of course Trump isn't going to come out and say he is going put them all in jail, and what he did say is there needs to be investigations. How was that dodging the question exactly?

To me, only a criminal would be worried about retribution through lawfare, and Trump seems to be the only one willing to subject himself to that kind of retribution.

With all that, it may have been better for Joe to do better in the debate. Whoever they replace him with will have a better shot at winning. A honeymoon phase where voters are excited to support the new candidate. However, not enough time to vet them properly before Election Day. Brilliant plan all long by the Democratic Party.

And yeah, they are still going to cheat with voter fraud.

I got a bit annoyed with Trump when he was asked about child care and he went off in another direction totally. He did this several times and it was vintage Trump to start bloviating about something other than the topic. A couple of words to pacify those wanting to hear about his stance on child care would have made a lot of sense to me rather than blow off the question completely. Biden's answer to that question was garbled at best but he did stay on point although incomprehensible.
    He was already President
A vote for Biden is a vote for the country to be run by unelected woke bureaucrat’s aka Joes handlers. Joe is an empty vessel and is being told what his policies will be, and it is put on a teleprompter for him to read. Without the teleprompter, he has nothing. With a teleprompter he has socialist policies that are wrecking this country.

What I would like to know is if they are stupid and don't know this or if they know this and it is what they want.
It's what they want. The master plan is to rule us

Well, it begs the question for now, who is going to take that phone call at 3 am. ? I understand there is a 6 minute window to respond to any nuclear attack. Plus, what is keeping our adversaries from really getting down and dirty on aggression after what the world saw the other night ?

No way. Maybe 30 years ago. Not now. In this election, there will be more former or assumed D's voting for Trump.

Sure, now. But that's not my point.

Lots of people, especially old south "conservatives" absolutely  love center left candidates.

If carter ran, (which he won't) he'd be the pied piper leading a bunch of old people who can't stomach mean tweets.

Dude, that's my point. Those people are GONE. Or have moved to the GOP/Trump.

Not to mention the candidates are gone. And Carter was hardly center left. He was left. Which is why he got shit-canned by the widest margin in my lifetime after one miserable term.

There is no such thing as the blue dog dem any longer. They got kicked out of the party decades ago.

Like my reliably democrat grandfather used to say. "I didn't leave the democratic party, the democratic party left me." And that was 40 years ago.

It'd take just one center left candidate to bring lots of right and center right over to the left. The right isn't as strong as the left. An otherwise decent R candidate says one disagreeable thing, and suddenly people start voting for L's, or even supposed "moderate D's". Lot's of R's were very unhappy that Trump wasn't going to be a Romney, McCain, or Bush.

Carter was left, but by modern standards, many would consider him center to center left. I'm not one of them. But they're out there.

My maternal side was much like your grandfather (And boy did they LOVE carter). The kicker though? The democrats may have left them, but they'll happily wait for them in case the democrats ever come back for them.

Which they wont, which we agree on. Not everything on a forum has to be a total 100% disagreement.

Simple child care is the parents responsibility not the government. Glad he ignored the BUT ITS FOR THE CHILDREN BS

The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.
