They way they are passing it is Unconstitutional, it is null and void. It re-writes most states laws and takes their sovereignty away. We passed the bill protecting our 9th and 10th amendments before this bill of junk. I will not let it affect my life, simple as that.

The Declaration of Independence states that US citizens not only have the right but the duty to overthrow the government should it no longer follow the will of the people. IMHO it seems to be getting to that point.

This Health Care Bill in itself is unconstitutional, period.

A right granted by the Govt. is a right that can be denied by the Govt.

Health Care is NOT a right!!!

FWIW, at our Senate District Republican Convention yesterday Atty. General Greg Abbott spoke to us and said...If this legislation is passed, they have lawsuits in place that will rock Washington's world. let's hope he is right and will follow through on his promise to us. Rick perry's stance on the nullification process is that...there is no reason for nullification until there is something to nullify, (typical RINO speak).

Could Perry's response simply be a case of do not show your cards until they are played?
MANY people are watching how this goes down, as I do believe this could be the tipping point to a lot of things.

I don't think so, IMHO Perry has too many aspirations to higher office that he is walking on eggshells. He talked a good talk about cession last year in Ft. Worth at our Tea Party Rally, but since then he has toned down his rhetoric. He's also very beholding to special interests.

Obviously Melissa you can tell I'm not a Perry supporter.

It seems the people in this country are holding their breath... just waiting for the hammer to fall.
I just believe the hammer (pun fully intended) is going to be much larger than anticipated when Americans decide to say...

Perry is a politician. He will do what's necessary to further his career, just saying. ;)

I seem to remember a famous quote, although I can't find it at the moment. Basically, it was to do with a society in which it's government does not leave it's citizens the right to protest and fix things through peaceful means, and the unpleasant end result of such constraints. What do we do when we are given the illusion of "peaceful means", but when at every avenue those means are subtly subverted so the end result is nothing ever changes? What do we do when we have people in positions of power that subvert our laws and Constitution, and that bald face lie to us, and are never held accountable or punished? Make no mistake people, there is a war going on against our minds. Every day we are inundated with complete and utter bullshit, which is supported by the media and entertainment industries (watch your favorite TV shows for the subtle subliminal bullshit attempting to sway you towards popular opinion), and then passed into law against our wills despite our protests and proof of the invalidity and inaccuracy of such topics (global warming, universal healthcare, socialism, etc). Basically, we human beings deal with each other in two ways, persuasion or force. Force is generally the last resort, when the passive means of persuasion is not effective. Honestly, I am losing hope that we can improve things peacefully, and I think we are quickly speeding towards the day when our only option will be force. There is just so much social conditioning and brain washing going on in our society that the truth and facts no longer mean a damn thing.

The thing that amazes me the most is the fact there are still people out there that think it's all just a coincidence or accident that all of these things are happening. Seriously? Lets see here, we have politicians pushing bullshit scams to the American people, scams which are completely disproven by established scientific fact. Then we have organizations and the media pushing us to support those scams.....and coincidentally we start seeing subtle stuff in TV shows we enjoy that also attempts to convince us that the bullshit is actually true and we should support it. And those are just a few of the numerous avenues with which all this crap gets pushed to us. Yeah some coincidence.

    . . .
So, now to the root cause of the high cost of medical. Did you know that unless a school is AMA approved the graduates can not get a licence to practice in the US. The AMA sets restrictions on the courses, classes, number of students, and the number that can graduate in a given year. All of this works to artificially restrict the number of doctors in the US. This restriction chokes the supply while the demand is ever growing.

    : /

Yes, MD's are in high demand, and to practice medicine, you have to be licenced by the state of texas. To be licensed by the state, you have to have attended certified school. The restriction on the number a students a school can pump out is limited by the hospital that the school is associated with. Patients teach the students. Texas has been trying to increase the number of students they are graduating. Texas also has many, large schools (most over 200 students per school). If I remember right, they are adding a new school soon, and all the schools are adding students. It costs someone, 400k to teach a MD student, most of which is paid by tax payers. That is 2 grand a week for four years. Most medical students come out of school with 150k to 250k in debt.

The reality is that we are going to have to rely on alternate health care providers. RN's and other certified medical professionals can give just as good a care to most patients as an MD. (I would say that MD's increase the amount of medical knowledge in a way that other healthcare professionals can't, but that doesn't mean that they are the only ones that can effectively provide healthcare.)

I'm just pointing out that we have other problems other than just the AMA artificially restricting the number of MD's to keep the cost of healthcare high (that is what Vet schools do). As you might have noticed, most MD's have seen their earnings decrease. I know several MD's who made the most money the first year after school, and made less money each year.

buckle down folks... Looks like Obamacare is going to be an everyday part of our lives whether we like it or not! (insert vomit smiley)

It might be worth given up certain privileges to go live elsewhere until this is finally ruled unconstitutional as it should be...

I was laid off along with several others, I took a lower paying job, rest of my co workers took layoff and unemployment and was happy to do so.
