Far as I know you can't bait armadillos though you can funnel them into a trap, they tend to follow the same route in/out of their burrows, a few boards with a trap at the end mostly works.
Raccoons love peanut butter, hotdogs, tuna, cat food, etc. but they're rough on live traps, stake it down. Cats... domestic cats are easy, feral cats are pretty hit & miss. Possums are nasty but pretty harmless, they don't seem to bother the cats and they're pretty good at keeping snakes to a minimum. Skunks are the worst, best shot from a distance.

Opossums are no doubt the preferred varmint and I'm aware of their positives but I have one that's a repeat B&E offender and would rather he be gone.

I just stood outside for @45 min. with a .45 hand gun and nary a criminal seen when game cam vids show they would be moving this time of night.

Maybe I stink.
