finally made it back from ailing BIL in FL... got a few family goodies from the old days he'd had stashed for me the last decade or so...

Afternoon earthlings! Been a day so far. Still battling with insurance, great times all around.

Central air conked out Monday, condensor fan motor bearing seizure; at least I was home to hear it before something terrible like a fire happened. I replaced the motor Tues. but it didn't start so another trip to town today and I replaced the capacitor. Blower and condensor fan hit for @3 seconds and then nothing, I didn't notice the compressor try to start.

Emergency window unit in LR where current temp is 80F. Next door the kitchen is 83 and after that the loo is 88.
It should cool off about 7a.

Hope you're having a better week than eye.

No bueno. Any ideas as to what else might be the problem?

For me, it's the "5-hour window," as I call it. If I get 4 hours of sleep and wake up, I can get back to sleep. If I get 5 hours, I can't. So today it's time to hit Denny's, and spend the day running around doing all the stuff I procrastinated about during the week.

Getting ours replaced this morning.
