Welllllll...shit. Got a call from my doctor's office. My test results from my physical a week ago are in, and I'm pre-diabetic.

No more resetting the alarm and getting another hour of sleep instead of working out anymore. Poor Bob the Punching Dummy is in for a rough time.
don't worry the doctor gets kicbacks for the drugs they prescribe

Hell, I don't even know what a carbohydrate is. Never could keep all that shit straight.
Question for the man with the forge. I bent a grade 70 chain clevis hook somehow. Would it be best to cold forge , IE: Pound the shit out of it, or apply heat and ease it back into shape, allowing for a slow cool down.

I know the correct answer is buy a new one, but just wondering,

Counting carbs and calories is too damn much to keep track of. I just need more exercise that won't trash my already trashed knees.
The only good answer is a workout pool, 4 to 5 foot deep where your knees are not subject to the effects of gravity, just what the Dr. ordered. All you need is a skid steer and a shit pot of concrete, right?

Looks like grade 70 chain is heat treated, so unless you know the exact makeup of the steel you're likely to weaken it trying to fix it hot (easy to bungle the heat treat)...and it's probably not going to want to be fixed cold.

Also, if it's got any kind of galvanized or zinc chromate finish on it, throwing that in a forge can release toxic gases.

You're way better off just buying a new one.
