Being a "native son" carries very little weight these days.
His actions are pushing things in the right direction. If he has bad intentions I'm not sure he would be so eager to insure we are armed.

He is still new enough in Congress to be corrupted yet. I think he is still an idealist. I will support him until he gives me reason not to.

He's definitely got my support ... for now. Was weary of him at first, not knowing anything about him, but so far he's proven himself to be willing to do what WE want him to do. As with all, time will tell, but he's on a good track right now.
I am not a "native son" either. I have been in Texas for over 30yrs and have been married to a native Texas for just under 25 of those years. I would defend both to the end. I wasn't born here but I came home as soon as I could. Yes, this is my home.

Amen. That's the type of people we need here. You have to remember that a lot of the people fighting and dying for Texas' freedom were not born here either.
Replace the federal income tax with a 2 % across the board federal sales tax. Everyone in the country then has some skin in the game.

The man is representing us better than the vast majority of politicians, and is standing up for our rights where so many others have folded.
