    I sometimes get bacon like my granny did years ago. She would dredge the bacon in flour before laying it in the skillet. She always used a cast iron skillet. I do believe that cast iron skillets seem to give whatever is cooked in them a better flavor.

    Just saw that Smithfield's meat plants are being closed down due to Coronavirus.

    Forbes had this to say a few days ago (behind a paywall, but got to the article opening it in an "incognito" window)

    Smithfield is also apparently now owned by China.
    If that ain't a damned pisser ...

    Ive never cooked ribs on their side.
    I always pull that thin membrane off the bone side & cook em boneside down for about 2hr, then wrap in foil for another 2 hrs with squeeze butter & honey.

    Skip the honey and try some turbinado sugar on those ribs.
