I wonder what he would have thought of Hollywood today.
semi auto22lr revolver vs. semi-auto pistol
Which do you think is the most practical choice for field use?
I'm voting revolver.
Why?
1.) Can use any ammo. Short, Long, Long rifle, rat shot, CB caps, etc.
My revolver RAFFS at your single shot semi.
2.) WHERE DID MY MAG GO?!?!?!?!?! It WAS in the gun. But now it isn't.
Can't lose a cylinder very easily.
3.) There are these things called Speed Loaders.
4.) Ok, on suppressors, we'll call it a draw.
semi auto

Comments like this boggle my mind. For me .22lr is by a huge margin the mostly deadly caliber I own. My .22 pistols are also the guns that I shoot the most often.Honestly don't see any other use for any kind of .22, be it revolver, pistol, bolt action or semi rifle other than for cheap and painless practice/training/teaching.
Get rid of that pistol. My two favorites, a MkIII and a SW22, will eat a huge variety of ammo. I don't like spending a lot on ammo... Any ammo that would make a good pistol run poorly will be inconsistent out of a revolver. What happens if you can't get those uber awesome 22 rounds that are the only rounds that work in your semi?

Yeah, seriously. My .22lr pistols and rifles have killed way more things and provided more meat than any other caliber.
The semi's in the gunsafe are getting restless.
There are murmurs of revolt!
Gonna have to give them some exercise.
Wait! You have firearms designed later than the 1800's?The semi's in the gunsafe are getting restless.

HehYou just realized how crappy it was shooting those revolvers at the range.
