Can't consenting adults easily practice birth control?

When 'abortion' is the topic (so feverishly championed by leftist women) why isn't the subject of 'birth control' ever mentioned as part of the discussion?

And why can't individual states rule on this hot button topic...oh right, leftists want 'fed' control regarding abortion...and everything else for that matter.

President Trump said there are exceptions where abortion is a reasonable alternative...rape/incest/life of the mother, but it's not an alternative to 'birth control', except with some unconscionable women.

As a matter of fact........I recently learned from a conversation with a family member that Catholics don't support IVF because a number of eggs are fertilized and the most viable are selected with the rest being destroyed.

We do buy groceries, buy diesel and not gas and have no mortgage or credit card bills so may not be a typical family situation. I retired from the Fed 24 years ago and receive a pension and SS and my wife receives SS and a very small pension from a previous employer; in addition I have a business but it has not done much in the last few months as folks don't have discretionary money to spend. The main purpose of my business is to keep me out of the house and in the shop so I don't go brain dead watching TV.

But that doesn't mean you aren't right. The more we hear--or as little as we hear--of the Harris/Walz "platform" it looks like nothing more than the Bidenomics spend-print-spend circus that got us into this near-historic mess.

One more step and we'll reach back to the Carter administration's economy. In 2024, American families are already living on the edge and struggling to buy weekly groceries. And they're packed into very dense, metropolitan areas. Conflict for food and supplies would be inevitable.

We wouldn't, as a country now of 350 million, survive a Carter-era inflation.

Brother, I was referring to the article, not you! We don't have a mortgage either. But we pay for gas car insurance, home owners insurance, groceries etc. I'm retired on social security, and Mrs Diamond works. Some people do have a mortgage and can't afford groceries.
