    It sure looks to be a monster. Cat 4, heading for Cat 5

    The latest tracks I saw make me wonder if it could swing south of the entire peninsula (from our lips to Your ears....)? But the track history they showed do display an erratic path so far, so doubt they will update the track much over the next 24 hours...

    The roads leaving the affected area are jammed with traffic. They should make it possible to leave on the empty going into the area lanes (at least partially) on the freeways. And make sure there is fuel at the fuel pumps. People need to evacuate.

    There are always people that wait till the last minute or choose to stay. I can not say that I have not been one of those.
    There are always some who choose to stay until they experience why they were told to leave. Then others must risk their lives trying to save these fools.

    Luckily me being stubborn did not put anyone else in harms way.

    I can understand the mentality though. "I've stayed home for the last 8 hurricanes. Everything was fine." Then Katrina hits.
