Interesting. I didn't see anything regarding the LP of Texas' stance on abortion. Maybe I missed it. I did, however see these three deal killers:

II.1.b. Religion.
Libertarians support the principle of separation of church and state, and that there is no freedom of religion without freedom from religion. Libertarians oppose government funding or endorsement of any religious or nonreligious position over any other. Libertarians call for strict supervision of how government payments or tax subsidies to all religious organizations are used, to insure they are not used to support indoctrination.

Liberals believe in the "separation of Church and State" too, a nonsensical idea for a country such as the United States of America which was founded and flourished with Judeo-Christian ideals. One simply needs to look how far we have fallen since we abandoned those concepts to know this is a false idea.

II.1.f. Family Values.
Libertarians seek to abolish legislation and policies that define what a family is.

A non-starter for any Christian.....and probably a lot of other religions too. Another Liberal idea that is harmful to our country.

III.1.b. Border Control.
The Libertarian Party believes in and encourages free and fair trade among nations which allows the easy exchange of currency, goods, labor, and services.

Another bad idea, usually proposed by Liberals like Obama.

I think what has happened is that the Libertarian Party has just become an extension of the Liberal Democrats. Way back I was considered by many who knew me as a serious Libertarian, few of my thoughts have changed and today I cannot identify with them as much as I did many years ago. I think they have lost their way....

As far as quarantines. Probably need to, and seeing as most are a direct result of government incompetence I believe that there might need to be some form of compensation for those who have been needlessly affected.

Then once it's all settled we can go back and deal with those who's incompetence helped to create this mess.

This. I read that the WHO or somebody was saying the 21 days the CDC was saying should be 48 days.

For the other off topic debate, please research what the concept of "separation of church and state" was intended to mean. It was NOT to remove religion from the government at all, it is meant so the church (read Catholic Church) could not make political decisions or influences (like Cardinals were able to do inside their English government, etc.), but that's another thread...

I think you're too far off on your opinion. Libertarians are further right than republicans. They are extremists in the minds of Fox News and MSNBCers consider them a joke or non-issue.

In in a small enough "libertarian" government the gov is too small to interfere with matters of religion or who can marry who. The limited power that they do have would work for the people with only powers that Americans give them.

Border issues? Secure border and trade. Exploiting cheap labor? How is that liberal? Fair trade isn't illegals exploiting our resources.

As a libertarian I'm perfectly happy with quarantining anybody who possibly has it. To not do so puts other people's right to life at legitimate and imminent risk so therefore I actually view it as a very constitutional thing to do.
