Cool! I think you'll enjoy yourself. Care to share what you are bringing? If not no big deal, I'll just add your name to the list when I next update it.
    Now what is DPRA?

    Radioman got it right :-)

as far as bringing, well, everything I got.... G17, G20, and a Rock Island 1911

Remember, I'm still recovering so I don't have much of a collection yet

Makes sense. I had never heard of Jollyville - thought he was just a happy sumbeach in TX

I'm not sure if Jollyville was even an incorporated place, if it was Austin annexed it before I arrived. This extraterritorial jurisdiction and citys expanding into them is something we really don't have back home, and it is something that I should have know about before I bought my house.

The name Jollyville remains on a road, postoffice, firestation.

Houston's been annexing neighboring areas for many years, it's a tax base/money grab. Seems to me there was an annexed area out I-10 E and a home caught fire. The local FD didn't show and neither did HFD each thinking the other was responsible and a lawsuit insued. I could be wrong though.

OP updated to show attendees and their toys. T- 19 days, WoooHooo!

    Pretty sure that was Kingwood.
Interestingly enough, I heard Kingwood did NOT have the right to vote on their own annexation as they weren't part of Houston.

As far as I know, nobody gets a vote in their own annexation, just if they will keep their MUD or not if they have one. My next home will be out in the country well away from any ETJ so I am protected from the tax grab as much as possible.
