Been thinking of getting one of those Kurt. How do you like it?

I really like it so far. Just put 100 rounds through it today. No malfunctions, low recoil for such a small .45 and very comfortable to me compared to other Glocks. So far finding holsters has been a pain though. I'm sure the market will catch up as this pistol is going to be very popular.

My last handgun acquisition. A Smith & Wesson 1911 E series.

I don't know HOW I never thought to look for a Smith and Wesson 1911! That thing is gorgeous! I might be willing to sell my Remington R1 to put towards one of those. Nice!!!

Here's the bad boy I just picked up. It's a Sig Saur P938. They took the popular 238 platform and beefed it up to accept 9mm. I keep Hornady Critical Duty loaded in it ready to go.

I have an EAA Witness Elite Limited in .45. If my experience is anything to go by, you are going to love that pistol. Here's mine:

Do people still drill their frames to mount optics on their handguns? That's the way we did it in the eighties. I gave my brother my old Gold Cup race gun because I after I unmounted the ol' Tasco (yep, people used Tasco red dots for IPSC... at least I think it was a Tasco) because the holes in the stainless frame drove my OCD up the wall. I filled the holes with stainless screws then lopped them off and sanded them flush. Some people thought they looked cool, like I did it intentionally to customize my gun.. but I knew what they were.. I knew...

I can't believe no one's commented on your Sphinx. That is a sweet weapon. How much did that getup set you back?

Sorry I hadn't seen your question before. Answer - I don't know. That pistol comes with the holes already drilled. I bought it specifically for those holes and the available factory rail. It's to be used in a sort of competition where the production-class rules dictate that NO modifications can be made to the firearm except screw-on sights. No drilling and tapping allowed. The rail allows me to mount the sights I want. When I get them mounted, it'll look much weirder than it currently does. :)

My only other choice would have been an older-generation Pardini GT45. In retrospect, that's what I should have bought but it was more money than I wanted to spend at the time.
