Finished this up about a month or so ago. 100 round function test. Passed. Still need to fine tune it in the trigger.
Caspian, PSA, Wilson, EGW, a bunch more. Total hand built custom. Lots of show off machine work. There has been more work done since these were taken.

Tri-topped. Ball cut length wise and custom serration's.

Blended everything

My first 1911(A1 CS), so it is special to me. In all other regards, a plain-Jane .45 I plan to carry frequently!

Second picture features a Maxpediion M-1, SOE Tactical EDC belt, RIA 1911A1 CS, and a Blade-Tech Phantom IWB.

I am not sure if this is the right thread for this. New guy here so if not I will put it elsewhere.
I am starting this project as a legacy gun for my daughter. I have built 3 this year for my boys and as she is the youngest and only girl dad is turning up the RPMs on hers.
I thought it would be OK to document the process.
Standard as built Springer RO. Maybe 500 Rds. total on it.

It begins....I have a crap load of parts in the mail for this already. It will be getting a Ceracoat re-color.
But it all starts somewhere.....

I find long-term build threads fascinating. I won't write an essay why but know that it's good content and much appreciated by some...which is about the best you can hope for from any thread you start. Go for it.
