Believing that two gay dudes shouldn't get married because it doesn't fit the bill for your religion is ultra-Conservative IMO.
I don't plan on arguing this anymore, no one's mind will be changed and neither will mine.
I don't think two dudes should get married. I think its morally wrong. I also think its not my business as long as they're both consenting adults, and that the government doesn't have any business controlling it.
I don't get why that's so hard to reconcile for some. Repeat after me, "society and government are two different things."
If...the libertarians...give in, to the statists by not engaging them in the current political paradigm then the libertarians will lose.
Libertarians weigh in: are you still holding onto the dream of the viable 3rd party or is the new plan to uplift more libertarian minded representatives into the current party structure?
I dream of an infinite number of candidates to choose from, without party affiliation at all
Seriously though it really depends on the particular race. On my local ballot its L vs R a good percentage of the time (and no Ds contesting). In those cases I usually vote L. I try to download the ballot and research as many of the candidates as possible before voting though. I'll vote for guys like Cruz more times than not in the national elections.
Now when guys like Romney or McCain run its like choosing which nut you want kicked when you go vote. No good choices. Its a real dilemma and I generally just spend my time complaining on the internet, LOL
I am a conservative, but that has nothing to do with two gay dudes wanting to get married. For the book, I personally do NOT care who their choice of a partner is in life, NOR is it any of my business that I know.Believing that two gay dudes shouldn't get married because it doesn't fit the bill for your religion is ultra-Conservative IMO.

You are RIGHT!!!!!!I don't propose we live in a theocracy and I know that's what a lot of libertarians and non religious folks fear from the right.
What I am proposing is that if anyone who loves freedom is OK with the social engineers rewiring society, there will eventually be a society and government which is hostile to your freedom, especially your first amendment rights. Remember in the socialist democracies of Europe, many of the things we say freely here would get you locked up there. From what I see if we lose to the socialists we will then be left with two kinds of governments around the world essentially, socialist democracies and fascist dictatorships. People on he right need to unify and not continue to be splintered and defeated by the unrelenting unified march of socialism. Forward comrades!
