I'm partially (mostly?) wrong, in the US we tend to use AC even for most (but not all) long runs, we just bump the voltage way up to combat line loss. Undersea cables are HVDC though to reduce line loss over those very long distances, DC is more efficient in that regard.I think you’re wrong. Long lines are A, B, C circuits. Even distribution lines are A, B, C circuitry(A/C).
