Bottom line? It's going to take years, not months, to recover.

    It’s unlikely.

During the icepocolypse Oncor had a major shortage of replacement transformers.

Damaged transformers were strapped to pallets, hauled to Lancaster, repaired, and sent back out. They’re now powering homes again. I’m sure the same will happen there. Any other shortfalls will be dealt with by importing equipment.

Regardless, it will still take a while to get everything fixed. Trying to work in these areas after major storms is always a shit show and it takes a lot to get it done without anyone getting killed. Lots of competing agendas.

Again a desired outcome. Not a description of a path forward. Y'all have a location you'd like to end up without a travel plan.

Elect Trump............mass deportations.........curtailment of all foreign aid......focus on domestic issues........get rid of career political bureaucrats by new term limits and executive firing...........that would be a pretty good start

Elect Trump (we can only hope)……4 years of gridlock…..another election with more of the same….nations still divided…..nothing has changed.

All this talk just attacks the symptoms. The problems are rooted much deeper in society.

Hope is a good thing to have, even if it won't change the outcome. Just ask the folks patchin the holes on the titanic. Oh wait...

Without hope there would be no attempt at change and comments like mine would simply become a self fulfilling prophecy.

I don’t have much hope. But enough to keep voting and thinking maybe things will get bad enough that people start to wake up before it’s too late.
