I noted that now that TGT is on f-b.

    My experience with f-b:

I had been very active on f-b for years, I hosted a couple groups, and had a section for ”stories”.

Then two very unusual things happened; I just ignored the first one:

One afternoon, i-phone TURNED OFF in shirt pocket, I walked outside some 150’ to talk to our “dirt guy” landscaper. Just mentioned that some of our new roof gutters would need guards soon. Very next day, I got 7 ads for gutter screens on f-b.

Then a couple years later, I opened my f-b to the shock to see that posts under my account, as if I had posted them myself, were asking about me buying a couple of illegal machine guns.

When I tried to inquire of f-b what the Hell, I was stonewalled. Then the spurious posts disappeared completely, no trace. Spoke with ATF Son he told me to cancel all f-b immediately, which I did.

A week or so later, f-b announced that they had fired a bunch of errant employees for jacking with members’ accounts.

Since then, I’ve heard others with their own scary tales of f-b mischief.

    DO NOT TRUST f-b !

I try my best to actively avoid Facebook. If somebody expects me to find them or do business with them via Facebook it will not happen. TGT may gain some value from a Facebook presence in getting the word put.

Are you saying that you believe TGT should have no presence on FB?

    <>

No, but I warn that all is not right in f-b land.

As I’m so old, I’ve decided that I can't physically participate in what heeds to be done when the dems cheat & steal this upcoming election.

So, I’ll have to be a Tom Paine type cheerleader for the younger folk,
Therefore I’ve been pretty outspoken and attracted their internal anti Trump assassins.

f-b is a gigantic leftist FRAUD. Every bit as bad as Google. Our Republic is infected with leftist maggots, and may not be salvageable.

Damn George Soros & his gent BHO !

POST EDITED FOR EMPHASIS, and for a small added rant.

Looking for new car insurance provider I stupidly clicked on a link. Before I was done backtracking out, my phone rings. Yep someone selling insurance, numerous text messages are being sent to spam.

    It's crazy how we're monitored.
I once called my late brother in law who was living in an rv at the time in Tomball.
The next day I get an email from a company selling rv parts/service.
I've never searched online for anything rv related
It's not just FB or online.

It's your phone. I can give examples of what the OP experienced from 2019.

    What is the Facebook?

“The m̶u̶s̶i̶c̶ Facebook business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.”

    Thank you, Hunter Thompson ..

I had FB then went through all the trouble to delete my account. Joined again simply as a backup communication method with my daughter who lives out of country. Rarely look at it.

Problem is if you consent to f-b, they access everything.

So, they know about your side-sweetheart, your personal issues, illnesses, etc. We all have things we don’t want to be shared.

My Wife had discussed needing a new pot of some type.

On entering a large Houston Department Store, her phone in purse announced “Housewares & Kitchen section is 110 feet directly ahead.”

    <>
That happened to me 20 years ago.

I recently turned my phone into a landline, lol.
Purged everything, except calls & text. It stays home in a drawer, checked once an evening to see if there's anyone I need to get back with. :)

Being a grouchy old curmudgeon, I don't own a smart-alecky 'smart phone'.(nor my wife) so those entities who track/surveil folks through smart phones...don't get to 'track us'...

    If he's not, I am.
Only because you have no control over what is posted in the name of TGT.

That can be controlled on a Facebook page. I have a FB presence for my forging activities and I'm the only one who can post there. There are groups on FB that allow members to post, but lock down interaction from non-members. It's not quite the wild, wild west.

There is a "Texas Gun Talk" public group on Facebook. Almost no activity, and it doesn't seem to be linked to texasguntalk.com.
