I couldn't get the muzzlelite stock to work with the brownells brn 22 receiver, so i cannibalized some parts to get my sbr 10/22 takedown together.

6" barrel. I think im in love.

Well i managed to turn a rifle that shot a 1" group at 50 yards into a shorter rifle that shoots a 4" group at 50...

The 3 shots in the 7 ring were sight ins

Not too upset though.

What was my favorite and still would be, if I could see to shoot it without optics is my papoose. It was all the rimfire rifle that I needed. Everything I shoot now has a dot or scope, including heritages that I drilled and tapped or installed a laser on. Anything to keep shooting a little longer.

My favorite .22 was a Savage-Anschutz. It was a neat bolt action with a premium, walnut, rollover stock. I was moved by the beauty of the workmanship and its accuracy. They don't make them like that anymore, or if they do, I can't afford one anymore. It was back in the 1970s when I bought it. Sorry to have sold it. Today's current favorite is my custom-built AR-15 in the 6.5 mm. Grendel.

Dunno why I only answered for my rifle… my fave .22WMR is a Single Six gifted to me by my wife’s family. My fave .22LR has go to be my Calico M110 (made in Bakersfield).

I'm not familiar with the Calico, but had a mag like yours stolen like yours. When I got it it had a factory installed transfer bar, but was as smooth as most 3 screws. Loved the single six.

I’ve got a 3 screw with transfer bar. I’ve never noticed a difference between it and my dads 3 screw without transfer bar.

Today, my favorite rimfire is this FrankenMark IV. I put a Volquartsen 5.5" take-off upper on my Hunter frame and installed a FO front sight. It was so much FUN at the Range yesterday, but the two-tone will take a little getting used to.
