I’d be down for some desert shooting. I know a great spot about 3 miles past red sands. It’s isolated so u don’t get the usual drunken riff raff that frequents red sands. The road to get there is accessible for almost any vehicle. I’ll keep any eye on this thread for updates.

What do y’all use for target stands?
    Some wood framework or something?
    Paper targets on a backboard?
Stand alone targets like a five gallon bucket or similar?
I know its U haul it in U haul it out.

I stack two columns of tossed tires about 3 feet high and hang a plate with chains on junk 2x4.

I also have a clay pigeon thrower that runs off the car battery and foot actuated when shooting a shotgun.

I only use paper when I zero, or am trying to be real accurate, otherwise I lay clays against the backstop and/or shoot steel.

I’ve been trying to find a use for the illegals so lately I’ve b…. Oh nevermind.

Stewing on it. I'd love to go - just figuring out schedules & costs. You'd better be ready to hook me up with some good Mexican food though.
They have some awesome places there.....and walking distance across the border is Kentucky Bar, which is where the original margarita was made. Once dates are decided, if you decide to make the trip, let me know. I used to drive it once to twice a month for the past couple years. Had an apartment in the NE (Off Sean Haggerty) and came home every other to every third weekend to Copperas Cove. Maybe, if schedules and costs align, we can carpool.

I was actually thinking about taking a grill and just turning this in to a cookout, but I'll have my half beaner wife cook us up something unless you wanna just hit a restaurant. I don't have a lot of money... EVER, but I'd be glad to toss you like 30 bucks to help with gas. Whatever gets us together and allows all of us who want it, to get some camaraderie and have some fun. Let me know.

Offer is extended to anyone else. I'll help as much as I can, with ammo, whatever else, if I can. I'm not rich or even in the top 65% of income earners but I CAN help and I WILL, as much as possible.

Let's show these assholes in the rest of Texas who's boss... He... He... Heeeeeee
