Current degree of social distancing may perfectly efficacious to prevent ICUs from being overwhelmed.
But, the present course might excessively delay the herd immunity that must, by present thought, be achieved.
Intermittent social distancing into 2021 might become the optimum strategy until 12-18 months from now when (or if) we get mass vaccinations.
