I used to have a Khar PM9 and loved it. It was like a micro glock. However, it was very finiky with ammo. Hopefully they fixed that issue in other models.Heard good things about the kahrs. Will check then out.

Still looking for options. I have never bought a gun from some place on-line before. Prefer to buy locally if possible. Why has OP not posted pics of his new .40cal?
Is he a SLACKER?
I had a sig 2022 that ended up going to a close friend as he was working in a remote area and needed some protection. I reload 40 s&w and actually like the round.
Now I am in the mood to get something in 40 again.
The glock line comes to mind as I have a glock 45 in my eclectic assortment of firearms which includes Walthers, cz, sig, Taurus and rock island semiautomatics.
Only Smith semiautomatic I own is the m&p 22 compact. So the m&p might be a reasonable option.
The previous generation of walther pps, which I carry in 9, had a 40 but thinking it had dependability issues.
Love cz but finding a 40 might be difficult.
Suggestions sought. Price is a factor as this would be a play thing and perhaps a glove box gun.

those are all nice choicesActually, found a small gunshop here that has a Sig 2022 in 40. We think we are going to be pretty close in trade values. So I am heading out to look at after lunch. My previous 2022 was a good shooter and solid. So that would meet my needs. He has two XDs as well in 40.

Charlie,
Presuming that AIM still has some let tomorrow AM, one of the P226 in .40S&W is coming to my house to stay. - IMO, 380 bucks is a STEAL.

I always like the Beretta 92's and really wanted a Beretta 96. I found one for sale on this forum for a good price and snatched it up. I shot it twice, figured out I really hated it, and sold it within a week.
here's a search result for some more available P226 in case that place was outCharlie,

flat dark earth (color) and yes good deal!Yep the 226 looks like a swell firearm. Looking around seems I got an ok deal on my fde version...not sure what fde stands for and am looking forward to loading up some 40 this weekend. Might look at getting a 9mm barrel and mag for it in the near future.
Might break down and check out the range open in my area and see how "safe" it is. My wife is somewhat culpable to infection and so avoiding taking chances.
