I have a friend I've known since we both worked in the same place although he's a bit older, I'm pushing 69 and he's 77. He doesn't do computers and so I order stuff for him online using his credit card. So far it's been all firearm stuff like ammo and parts and stuff. He's got an American flag at his house on a pole outside and inside he had a Texas flag displayed on the wall and a Gadsden flag. Yesterday he wanted me to order him a Confederate battle flag to hang over his gun safe and I said no problem. Normally I look at amazon but they didn't show any. Usually, if you search online for something it's like Bang! There it is! I went through 4 pages on amazon and zip! Nothing! Although they did offer one bright red commie flag.

I finally found one after several unsuccessful searches and ordered it for him. But amazon offers plenty of Chinese flags for sale, and plenty of Cuban flags, in fact, I'm sure they have all the commie stuff commies could want. It's very frightening to see what the left commies are doing to this country, our heritage, and our freedoms. Sickening.

It's really very sad. History is being erased and re-written. People have decided that the so-called Rebel Flag is a sign of racism and evil. Growing up, I'd see it on something like the Dukes of Hazard cars and it meant a rebellious spirit.

I just read this week where a poll conducted among Democrats indicates that the majority of them embrace socialism. Looking at a few of their ranking officials, I'd say they're moving towards communism at breakneck speed. I was talking to a gentleman one day and the subject of politics came up. He said, "My great-grandfather voted democrat. So did my grandfather and my father. I've never changed my beliefs, but at some point the Democratic Party took this hard turn to the left and they abandoned me." That conversation was probably 20 years ago. That hard turn continues. These young people have been dumbed down to the point that they think communism is a good thing. They've never learned about how many people were murdered or deliberately starved to death under communism. It's extremely sad.

It's also a shame that companies like Amazon go out of their way to keep the Chi-coms happy. As long as they can make a buck off of them, they're happy to sell Chinese flags and such. Biden continues to push these giant spending packages and they will have to borrow the money from China. If the Chi-coms decide they don't like what we're doing, they can dump the notes and destroy our economy overnight.

When Obama got elected, I called my son and apologized for my generation having failed to leave him and the future generations the democracy that I grew up in. I don't think he understood at the time. I can remember the outrage when Nikita Khrushchev pounded on the table and said, "We will bury you!". Old Nikita would be shocked to see the USA destroy itself without the Russians having to fire a shot.

There was a great exchange on the TV series Firefly that applies to this subject:

Captain Reynolds : May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

So fly that Rebel Flag and to hell with all the rotten bastards who object!

Also, we need to remember the bad things in our history to avoid repeating them. The Civil War mainly happened when two opposing political ideaologies stopped rational discussion and started working to destroy their opponents by political manipulation and public oppression. Once they dehumanized their opponents, the only thing left was open warfare......

I joke at times about how republicans have done more for humanity than democrats and though generally true, Lincoln was a bit of a snake.

What schools teach about the war leaves out why the war actually happened. Back then slavery was everywhere Lincoln had no real interest in getting rid of it. The war was, as with modern times and current frustrations with our government, one side taxing the ever living hell out of the other to the point it was about greed and control. In pre war talks, Lincoln had no interest in freeing slaves. The reality is the north was just as guilty if not more twisted in certain views. Slavery could only be defeated by society maturing. The credit Lincoln got was purely for image.
