Not sure what caliber to build it into. I have a 5.56 carbine, sbr 300blk, pistol 300blk, .22lr carbine, and a 9mm pistol. No specific function in mind. I have an ar-10 in 308 for hunting. Just curious what you guys and gals would do

Can't really go wrong with any of em. But 22lr and 450 BM are showing up on shelves, 300 Blk is hit or miss, and 6.5 Grendal I haven't seen at all since last year.

Won’t be saying that when all we got is pmc bronze. ;)
Here in the greater Houston area, i have seen a ton of steel case 7.62x39, 9mm and some brass 5.56, all winchester green tip. None help in shooting, since ranges here dont like steel except for a few and even fewer let the green tip ammo downrange

.458 Socom is fun to shoot especially if you reload. You get .45-70 results in a semi auto. There are quite a few choices in bullets. I like the 405 semi jacketed flat point Remington makes. It takes some H110…not a huge amount. Runs great with the hybrid 46 can.

6.5 Grendel is also a lot of fun to shoot. Reloading is the way to go. Bullets are relatively cheap, brass is not too expensive either. The one I built with a Saturn barrel shoots sub MOA first time out.

I've built a couple of lowers and by far my most used is an AR pistol chambered in .22lr with a 4.5" CMMG barrel.
    Very fun, especially suppressed.

I have a 224 Valkyrie that I like a bunch. Has much better range than 556.

Out to 600 yds it’s comparable to 6.5 CM.

I also have a 458 SOCOM that I love. But ammo is expensive. Also it’s somewhat finicky to load for.

Not commenting on the politics of the ban but the ban is on new issuance permits for ammo - meaning existing permit holders (Tula, Wolf) can still produce and import ammo. Plus don’t forget wolf has factories in Taiwan..

That being said, subject matter: 450 bushmaster is the move, followed by 7.62x39.
