Looks like we lost him at the beginning of May. I don't remember seeing anything about it in the media.

Boy. They kept that under the radar. Fitting, I suppose.

Like all FACs and Mistys, he was a true badass.

This is from a few years ago…

    RIP Lizzy Musi at 33.

    Breast cancer.

    Damn!
    Dammit!

I always thought she was kind of the *pretty plant* on that show, the one I can't remember the name of :( , but reading up she was an accomplished racer.

    Rest in peace Lizzy.

Oh wow- RIP. Yes, I’ve read many of his articles over the years. Great writer.
Not just a great writer but, if I may be selfish, a guy who consistently wrote articles about stuff that interested me.

I'll never forget the time he was invited to attend a modern carbine course. (I think the article was actually written by someone else and about him, not by him. Not sure.). He showed up with a lever gun, iron sights, of course. They had to give him a bunch of dense foam and duct tape to wrap his pants at the knees so that he could get up and down without wrecking his knees.

All the other participants were rocking all the tacticool gear with modern kneepads and fancy ARs with some sort of glass on top.

Being a carbine class, distances were limited to 100 yards. After each lecture, there was some practice shooting and then a timed drill.

He won (nearly?) every timed drill. If a target needed two hits, he fired twice, got two hits, and moved on to the next task.

Everybody else in the class was busy re-demonstrating the truth of the old adage "You can't miss fast enough to win."

    :)

    We need more like him.

HS friend was pretty good at auto racing also
Originally racing her Triumph TR3, she became so good that car dealerships asked her to race their cars at Autocross from a Shelby Cobra to a Sunbeam Tiger. When women were not even allowed in the pits at Indy, Ann was invited to instruct drivers how to race mid-engine cars in Indianapolis.
