Texas gun talk

Buying a firearm out-of-state for an Illinois resident is complicated. The FFL in Texas would have to follow Illinois law.

Remember back when you could only buy out-of-state in "contiguous states"? The Feds did away with that. Unfortunately Illinois wrote that into their State laws, so Illinois residents still have to follow that as far as I know. They didn't remove it when the Feds did.

Of course it's long-guns only. Handguns are off-limits for out-of-state sales for everybody.

With PICA currently in full effect, good luck finding anything to buy in IL that isn't an "assault weapon".

Purchasing ammo is also verboten if you don't have a FOID card. Last I knew FOID cards were taking 6mos-year if you're lucky enough that it didn't get "lost" in the process.

He already said that he has one.
Not directly addressing OP, just putting it out there. Thanks for the warning, Mr. Hall Monitor.
