How would the cops know that he hadn't just shot someone who needed shooting? The cops just shoot someone that has a gun not pointed at them and that is OK?How is it messed up? From what I saw he fired a round into the house just as the cops pulled up. I would expect what happened to happen.

Supposedly the 911 call said there was a man in the street with a rifle. That would put cops on high alert for sure.
But, I agree that the officers really couldn't have known if this man was defending himself from someone inside or not.
