Fighting inflation with shrinkflation...Their 1.5# loaf of bread is now 1.25# & costs about the same as the 1.5 did.
Learned it from Kellogg's , no doubt .Charmin started doing this back in the 90s.
Coffee makers have been doing it for years.....
Yep. A pound of coffee is now 10.5 oz. A 5 pound bag of sugar is now 4 lbs. At least a gallon of milk is still one gallon and a dozen eggs is still 12.Coffee makers have been doing it for years.....
I remember when a can of coffee came with a key attached to the bottom.I am so old I can remember when sugar came in a five pound bag.
That may have been SPAM?I remember when a can of coffee came with a key attached to the bottom.
Nothing new. It's been done for decades. Maybe people are just now waking up and realizing that it's going on.
Yeah, I could've sworn that when I was a kid, coffee came in a 5lb can, now not so much.
A half-gallon of ice cream hasn't been a half gallon in 20-some years. I think its like, 1.5 or 1.25 quarts at this point.
I looked at the price of most beef cuts our last time into HEB and had to fight back a little tear. A brisket I paid $50 for last year now goes for $80.
I can remember when a decent brisket was under a $1 a pound! And you catch them on sale sometimes for about .59 cents a pound!Yeah, I could've sworn that when I was a kid, coffee came in a 5lb can, now not so much.
