So because no one could get any routine medical procedures for so long, due to the governor’s over-reaction order about that, the state hospital where my husband worked lost millions of dollars. We thought we might be ok. Nope, laid off along with hundreds others. They are rethinking their use of contractors to save money, so now bringing on some new in house people to do what he COULD have done if they had let him and not repeatedly told him to go call a contractor. I hope that change makes them feel like they are doing something to save themselves money.

well maybe they are saving money because I had dreamed of the state retirement that I see so many of our friends get and we were almost going to be able to work to get there. We were five years in. Nope, not that easy for us.

I’ve been trapped in my little telemed office working from waking to sleeping the past week, stressing if I can make it happen for us in our new home. Medical insurance for us all will have to come out of my check now.

We finally closed in a decent house (our first) in June and I’ll have to pay for it. Things were starting to get so good for the future and now that’s all gone, poof.

I have a few hours off work and a chance to go to the farmer’s market and relax with our friends there and drink free beer until 1pm but I’m finally here by myself and I can’t get ready to go becuase I can’t stop crying.

Very sorry to hear what happened. May the Good Lord help things work out and send His comfort to your family.

This is what really ticks me off. Very little reported about the lives damaged and livelihoods destroyed by the virus mass hysteria. Nor on the people who have died because they could not get in the hospital or doctors office for timely diagnostics. Or were too scared (thanks to the media driven hysteria) to go in.

But the data gained on how well they can control people is invaluable.

Case and point. Enjoy your mask and make sure if you ever venture out in public to keep your trap shut if you see someone else not wearing a mask but feel inclined to tell them something. It’s ignorant people like you that keep this lie alive and make school kids wear masks and eat lunch at their desks. Let us know how your chinavirus vaccine goes. I know you are waiting in line to be innoculated because you live in fear. Pretty sad my lady never cried once about being around “covid patients” once and you are a grown assed man whining about face diapers on a gun forum.
Here’s some things to analyze since data isn’t your cup of tea.

I have run across nasty arrogance before on firearms forums but none quite like you. Your very first reply to me contained an obvious insult.

Did you even read any of why I am wearing the mask. Please quote where I said I am insistent on anyone else wearing one? Please quote me where I said I am forcing school children to wear them? Did you hear me whine in fear of catching COVID-19 as my reason for wearing a mask as you imply? No you did not, I am wearing it on the chance it will protect others if I already have been infected. Did you read that I am in fear of getting the virus - no you did not. I am a bit concerned but not fearful. I have faced death, on its doorstep more than once. When it comes I will not be a pansy nor an arrogant turd doling out insults and exhibiting an absolute lack of good manners like a typical libturd as you seem to be doing.

Is getting a vaccine living in fear? No it is being prudent; so, yes I will get it just as I have been immunized against the flu, measles, polio, shingles, pneumonia, pertussis (aka: whooping cough) and also against whatever diseases I was immunized for when I went to Haiti for a month and so on. You don't want to get yourself vaccinated why not - are you a person who is afraid of needles! Or maybe it is because your girlfriend wants to do her nursing duties without a mask and does not want the vaccine when it comes out and she decides what you should do too because she wears the pants in your lives. My guess is probably you are of the type with a big mouth and small balls.

Stop reading more into my posts than is already there in order to create your fantasy about what I said or what I do because you are getting it quite wrong when it comes to me. But I know, your girlfriend told you what to say, so that makes you intelligent somehow.

I have a degree in applied science along with decades of experience in examining data, performing analyses, reviewing analyses and managing those who do these things. And using the knowledge gained in my education along with experience, the evidence is clear that a mask short of an N95 medical mask is ineffective with viruses. One does not have to specifically be a medical doctor or epidemiologist to review the analyses that have been performed and reach a judgement.

That said, I have no problem at all with any person who wants to wear any type mask. That is a matter of choice. I have a problem when the government removes the freedom for me to make that choice.

In your situation, I would highly recommend getting a supply of medical N95 masks. And self isolating as well.
I am using N95 masks but not the ones with the valve that allows your breath to escape easier because it is believed they are ineffective or less effective in preventing someone who has the virus from spreading it. I don't know if the ones without the valves are effective either but on the chance that they may help prevent me spreading it - IF I HAVE IT AFTER MY REPEATED EXPOSURES TO THREE PEOPLE WITH IT - I have decided to wear one whenever I go out for the remainder of the 2 week quarantine to be on the safe side for the sake of others (it certainly is not to prevent me from getting the virus - as someone else here seems to keep thinking - since I quite possibly was already exposed). I am also staying home as much as possible but do need to walk the dog a few times a day and keep away from people when I do so. Maybe two or three times I will have to go shopping out of necessity but maybe not because I have a lot of stuff to eat and drink already stocked up in my apartment.

Thanks for the level headed, thought out, courteous reply.

Good to hear you are using the N95. Hope all turns out well.

Wear an N95 mask while carbon arcing, then tell me how effective they are. I'll give you a hint, the particles in smoke is larger than a coronavirus.

Even Dr. Fauci at first said that the mask isn't designed to keep him from getting sick, it's designed to help minimize you from getting others sick from yourself.

In Japan the sick have worn masks for decades, that way you knew to stand away from them.

If you guys knew what was going on in other countries (in the name of Covid-19) you would be even more outraged. Australia has gone full police state. The state of emergency orders have been made permanent and citizens are being treated like they are in a concentration camp. Look it up. Melbourne has been crazy. I mentioned it a few times over a month ago and no one really cared. That will happen here if we allow the democrats to win.

I wonder how many people care about what they are doing or not doing in Australia?
Probably not very many since there isn't anything that we can do about it, and we have enough worries of our own right here in Texas and the United States.

Speak for your self and leave me alone. Here is why: Because it is very similar to what is happening here. If you don’t care then shut up and move on.
