    Some false logic here.

The mask may initially catch some of the moisture. But what happens as you continue to breath through that mask? The droplets are forced out in aerosol form by the pressure of your breath. And the virus in aerosol form from your breath passes straight through to begin with.

And for the 99th time. THIS AIN'T THE BLACK PLAGUE! The most credible studies show it is no worse than the flu (see the Stanford study for a truly scientific approach).

Why all the special precautions now? Politics.
But, but, but Beto says they are running out of hospital beds and refrigerated trucks for all the dead bodies they are stacking up!!! I think they are all democrats dying from heart attacks because they know their ass is grass and Trump is the lawnmower! The masses are sick of the bullshit...if this keeps up a civil war will pop off no doubt.

I’m going to start a new thread with this data but leave it on these threads as well. I just want to make sure I’m not missing something...I’m sure there will be someone trying to minimize or debunk the data so I included the link to the source.

Go to PAGE 5 and read the numbers if you don’t trust my screen shot or the other referenced photo...

You evidently haven't been here long enough.
I have been accused of being the "thread police"

People seem to get upset when I point out there are multiple threads on the same subject.
I’ve been on plenty of other forums much longer. I get it but I’m still going to start a new thread so my point is not buried.

    I understand.
I guess that's the same rational others had, which has led to over 18 coronavirus threads.
This of course spreads out information, never to be seen again.

I had no idea there were 18 threads on it. I wasn’t counting just like the dems! Haha
Lots of great points get glossed over. Nature of the beast.

    Somewhere in Texas!
When a person coughs, sneezes or even breathes or talks, they release droplets of saliva, mucus and cells from the membranes in the respiratory tract, which each contain innumerable viruses. We do not cough out individual viruses. A mask of any type will drastically reduce the amount of droplets going into the air. When a lab tech is working in a virus lab, they are working with concentrated distillates of the virus. So those precautions are needed.
So the mask will stop droplets, which is how the virus is spread in the community. And it takes many, many viruses to actually cause disease in a person. So if you can reduce droplets in the air, you can reduce infections.
Those are my rational thoughts. :)

BUT, when those droplets are expelled, there is a very large percentage that pass through the material. It still does not stop the spread, while I will acknowledge it does, mitigate a small percentage of the droplets that are expelled, it does not stop enough. When one coughs and/or sneezes, droplets, start at about the hundred micron size (human hair), but there are far more that are in the five micron range, which can pass through and remain airborne for long periods of time. A simple cloth mask is akin to a fishing net designed to let minnows pass through, but catch a larger fish. Multiple layers, may catch more, but again, it will not stop all. The ideal thing to do is to protect those who are most likely to be extremely susceptible to the contagion, and let everyone else move on and build immunity throughout the general population.
That is the strategy that makes the most sense, anything else just prolongs the situation. Also keep in mind that several corona viruses also cause the common cold!
By the way, a co-workers adult child tested positive, when said person was retested, it was negative. Just a minor head cold, another testing failure, this is the forth, local screw up I can personally vouch for.

Went to a restaurant in Lubbock today, 3 colleagues had masks (philly, GA, and local). She says, “as soon as you have a mask on, we’ll go to the table.” I smiled “I have a medical condition.” Shoulda seen the eyes man. Down right funny.

we then proceeded 20 paces to a table and it was magically ok For them to take them off. Ridiculous.

How to run out of cold storage space in Texas
Choose any somewhat western county. Many can be found with very few residents
Show a picture of the local funeral home. You know that place that closed down just after WWII.
Then interview a local in a plaid shirt. Have him or her complain that if even one more resident dies in the county of COVID 19, there will be no place to keep the body.
This will be a media truth since there is no place in that deserted county to store any body.
