They used to be my 9am wake up call in Vegas. But that's nothing to what I witnessed the Blue Angel jet doing in Mayport, Fl., about gave me a heart attack, thought sure it was toast.

It didn’t look like they got that close. The lead seemed to have made a weird roll to the right just before it happened and something about it caused #6(?) to pull out of formation.

Maybe Lemoine will comment on it. He’s usually pretty good at breaking these things down.

Never got close. The initial roll is left and everyone follows then, for whatever reason, lead rolls right, which to me is not part of the plan, then everyone but 6 follows. Six sees what’s happening a little late...he’s visually tied to 5 for spacing, not lead...and moves to extended fingertip, probably the as briefed escape maneuver, then rejoins.

Why did lead go right when everyone was was going left? That’s the question.

Heck if I was Six I would have been bailing too. Smart guy. No reason to take a risk, this was not combat.

    Good stuff in this article.

A paper last week by Stockholm University mathematicians estimates herd immunity could be around 43% if young, socially active people mix more and gain immunity, protecting older, less socially active people. In other words, Stockholm may have already achieved herd immunity.

“I want this to be an open dialogue,” Mr. Ginn says. “But we shouldn’t have public-health people making economic policy. We need to have the policy makers who people vote for make those determinations.” After all, “we’re a democracy—we’re not China.

I think to myself when I hear Cuomo saying something like "Job one has to be save lives", is why are lives more precious now than when we've had, for instance other influenza outbreaks. Now I'm not saying we should have reckless disregard for this virus, but people risk death every day. The numbers, as far as I know, are not in the millions worldwide, let alone in the U.S., which was at first forecast. Yet when those forecasts were first made we didn't have the immediate closures to the point where many places are today.

I am positive that this is mostly political, and they are using deaths to pull on peoples heart strings. Are the nearly 40,000 deaths in auto accidents any less tragic? Yet I never see any initiatives to reduce our use of us driving for those dying in accidents.

My belief is that I have risked dying my whole life, yet I did that for a sense of freedom. Although it's the motto of New Hampshire, it does resonate with me, Live Free or Die! Because if I don't have that sense of freedom, something inside of me already has died.
