I sent CVGunman the recipe. If he likes it he can post it. No cajun or creole kinfolks to get recipes from. I like to eat so I learned to cook. Julia Childs & Jacques Pépin taught me what I know.Who gives a damn if it tastes good ... and shrimp always tastes good!
I've got a few jambalaya recipes learned from my Cajun Mom, but chicken, not shrimp.
Gotta adjust the recipes a bit for shrimp, so hesitated to post one for the same reason.

Cooking is more about technique, taste, ingredients & desire then anything. Once you learn the basics without taste or desire your nothing. My chef buddy is still amazed at some of the food I throw down.Jacques Gaspard's the real thing and cooks like I grew up on.

Going to smoke a couple of whole chickens, and sausage.
Sunday morning, wife is going to do a pot roast in the crock pot, with fresh carrots, potatoes, onions and green beans. Along with dressing, potato salad, deviled eggs, and baked beans.
I might even do some grilled veggies too.
