Conroe is super bad. Fortunately, I got a call before heading off to work and managed to stay home.
I drove to Conroe for a training class about 7:30 this morning and it was turrible (Charles Barkley-speak). By the time I was on my way back to Houston around 11am, it was equally turrible. When I got back home, I'd noticed that streets in my neighborhood were flooded--streets that have never flooded in the twenty-nine years that we've lived in this house. In some ways, this was worse than Harvey.

My sister had an appointment at a doctor in the med center at 2 PM today. The guy is very difficult to see with less than a couple of months lead time. Nevertheless, at 9 AM I called and cancelled. I wasn't sure I'd done the right thing.

By 2 PM, I was definitely sure I'd done the right thing. :)

We were lucky over here by the Galleria. There were the usual dumb asses that tried to be a hero and lost their cars. I did hear about at one fatality in East Houston. Be safe!!
