A coworker went to Dayton and Hardin and took these pictures in Liberty. The road was closed after he left Hardin just past 8:00.

Made it home safely to Tomball. Was told to go home or shelter in place by work, it was too late I was stuck for a few hours in the galleria area.

Not terribly deep but I'm in a tiny Ford Transit service van.

News to me, but I do not follow local news at all. Maybe he is the one that sent the rain we are finally getting as I type this?

I got the TFR notification from the FAA. Haven’t heard it on the news yet.

Can’t send your people home?

They want the hours. I ended up leaving, told them they can leave whenever they want. It's still good out here though, heck I hit almost 80 on the freeway on the way home.

I'm just debating whether or not I want to use the rain as an excuse to head home, but it's been pretty light out here in Cypress. I just feel guilty leaving early while my staff is still at work. I'm one of those bosses that feels like I need to work harder than the people I direct.

My work closed due to the heavy rains. but I was already on personal leave.

I’m waiting to see if Brazosport College will stay open because my kids are due for class at 5:00.

What was it like dealing with flood insurance and getting this cleaned up and restored? From everything I've seen it seems like a massive PITA.

Luckily we had flood insurance.
First time wasn't so bad.

Second time it was tougher due to scammers.

ETA: The worst part was having a dog and staying in a hotel for a couple months.
I sold the house after the second time.
