LolAAA Card
Map of the areas they are traveling. Means of self defense. Sense to not drive long distances at night. There are some things I'm missing, shoes and socks I never thought of but a great idea.
Now, what would you want your 18 year old daughter off to college, living away from home (outside the range where she can call daddy) for the first time to have?
The wife?
Son?
2 flashlights
Batteries
2 rain ponchos
2 pair of hand warmers
gloves
first aid kit
knife
pliers
screwdrivers
75 ft nylon cord
air compressor
6 bottles water
bag of kitty litter (for traction)
flares
gun
200 rounds ammo
Roll toilet paper
Roll paper towels
emergency car window opener
Not a lot. An air compressor, some windex, a few clean rags. If I'm going out of town, always some bottled water.
Meaning? This seems like just another in a series of probing questions about the habits and practices of the members of this board.
Chem lights, like that idea. Do they have an shelf life? Or can they be stored for a really long time?Mechanix gloves go on sale this time of year. Chemlights are good. Leatherman tool as well.
Organization is key to me. I have a car and a truck and both have bags, but both have things the other doesn't. Need to get then the same (except for vehicle specific items)I'm a pack rat, so I have a lot of things except flares for some reason. What I need is organization. This thread will help.
Tire plug kit, how easy are those for an everyday person to use?Jumper cables, LED hazard triangles, tire plug kit, mini air compressor, flashlight, ice scraper.
That's a good point. I always have bottled water in the truck, but rarely have it in the car unless I'm traveling. I should mthrow a couple in the car as well even though the AO of the car is never really more than a few min from a convienace store.always some bottled water.
You mean you don't carry that on your person? If you have a "car bag", just throw some pliers and a few screwdrivers in there. The real thing is more functional than a multitool.Leatherman tool as well.
Thinking out loud. Keep what tools you desire where you desire them. That's a good point. I always have bottled water in the truck, but rarely have it in the car unless I'm traveling. I should mthrow a couple in the car as well even though the AO of the car is never really more than a few min from a convienace store.
