If it's a published load I don't think there would be any issue.

Not published for the case swap but here you go: 10 grains AA#7 in a 40 case.

The word I got from GT is that a 40 case is a stronger container of powder due to the fact it has more metal at the primer pocket due to small primers as opposed to large primers

I had a similar problem loading 460 s&w for my brother in law. I came across an article saying they had blown some large mag pistol primers so they had switched the round to use large mag rifle primers. Sounded legit. I loaded him 50 with rifle primers but a few months later we were talking and he told me he had a bunch fail to go off on the first strike. Switched over to pistol and he hasn't had any trouble with them.

    I knew I wasn't crazy!

I just got 50 454casull brass in the mail from a guy and was looking up what primers to use on the hodgdon site. I decided to recheck what primers it called for the 460mags. Sure enough it says large rifle magnum on there. Either way, they sure didn't work for his revolver. The large pistol mags are doing fine though.

Deprimed 350± small primer 45s this morning. Going to prime with the small pistol mag primers and set them aside until I can get a box of HAP bullets for them. Might try a couple test loads of my LP 45s with the powder coat bullets in hopes I can make it to the range this weekend.

I still have the 10 test loads for the 7-08 I haven't tried as well. Maybe the wife will let me go out and play... Just maybe....

Wife is gone for the weekend and took 3 of the girls. The oldest stayed home with me but hates shooting. I told her she would have to go to the range with me and she asked if she could shoot. Actually had fun doing it too.

I got to try my 10 test loads for the 7-08. Most of them show slightly flattened primers so my bullets might be seated into the lands. Only the hottest imr4064 really looked bad though. Found a really good spot with the imr loads though. Going to start adjusting oal and work a few.more loads for next trip.

I took another step closer to buying a Dillon 1500(?)trimmer to mount on my sizer dies. Actually I will need to get new sizing dies as well + get a job to pay for all this crap!

It came up as I sized about 150 223 cases and realized I could be done if I went with the Dillon setup. And I'm not sure that chamfer/debur makes that much difference with what I shoot and at what distance I shoot it.

Loaded up 100 6mm Creedmoor rounds. Might shoot some tomorrow if going to the range works out.

Had a member ask me if the Lee seating stem was damaging the tips or putting a ring on the bullets. I think it fits the 108gr Hornady ELDMs pretty well. Neck tension after full length sizing is about 0.005" so they are pretty snug.

Chronograph is in the mail and will be here Thursday. It's a beta master. Looks great for what I need.

Ordered 100 nickel 357 cases and 150 gold dots for some 10mm loads.

Last night I setup one of the pro 1000s for 45s. I haven't had the case feeder on for a while because 9mm and 380s are too small to use the case feeder with. It was a pair. Settled ng it back up but it's good to go now. Going to looking a charge with this lovex powder and start loading tonight.

Loaded up 250 rounds of 45 ACP for testing.

    Five different powders, same bullet.

WST, Sport Pistol, 231, Ramshot Competition, and Vectan A1

Then I switched seats and cast 15 lbs of H&G 68 bullets.

    Took the lazy route.

Gave my precision-handloading-compadre enough money to load about 150 .338 Lapua rounds.
I've got the place to shoot them. He's got the equipment and skills to make it a precision endeavor.

A biologist would refer to that as a symbiotic relationship.

My main ammo supplier at the gun show said of the .338 rifle "Don't buy it, it's too expensive to shoot.
Now there is a man with high integrity!

Ya the 6 cavity really cranks them out. I only get about 15-18 drops with the 45 molds before I gotta refill my pot. It's only a little Lee 10# pot though. The 9mm I get about 30 drops before refilling.
