With all the new imports from The People's Republic of Kalifornia and Nuevo York, not to mention the crowds of "Gimme Free Stuff" south of the border and headed towards Biden's Pied Piper call, it will become increasingly difficult to get support. The Titanic is sinking - and has been for some time - and this lifeboat needs to detach before it gets dragged down, too.

NEVER FORGET GA was a red state. Long ago Delaware, Maryland and Virginia were even conservative. Yankees flee their states because they suck yet bring their politics with them.

Still wearing your mask that Comrade Abbott mandated?
I don't go out much, and very few people in my little town wear masks. But yeah, when I go to the city, to HEB or Walmart, I do wear a mask. I probably would anyway, for now.

Abbott resisted, then succumbed to pressure, and probably to his regret.

But, none of that changes the fact that we have a better chance of influencing state government than federal, especially now, and probably going forward.

Now, now, don't be hurtful. Old Milwaukee was the best beer after Schlitz Malt Liquor Tall Boys. Sometimes I can almost remember the 70's.
Schlitz 60 cent quarts... if you could drive through, they'd sell 'em to you! Some of those and 25 cent donations from the passengers, for gas, would get us out on some dirt road for a party.

    THE TEXAS CONSTITUTION

    ARTICLE 1. BILL OF RIGHTS

That the general, great and essential principles of liberty and free government may be recognized and established, we declare:

Sec. 1. FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF STATE. Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States.

Sec. 2. INHERENT POLITICAL POWER; REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT. All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.

Look how they force us to violate our own Constitution.

Sec. 32. MARRIAGE. (a) Marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman.

    (b) This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.

I decided to join the Texas Nationalist Movement last night or commonly called TEXIT because we have to do something to combat what biden is doing. Today he past more stupidity he past that the federal govt will pay for foreign abortions, passed another one that said Chin Virus or Wuhan virus will not be used in the federal govt. He so far passed 40 executive orders that are bringing the United States to it's knees . Even Rush agrees that we will never win another election with what they are doing.

The country and world is in havoc. Can anyone articulate a worse prognosis for free Americans? Do you think the Cuyahoga river catching fire was bad? Look what we are dealing with now. (Biden/Harris) I am considering joining this movement. I've been mostly gray (or is it grey?) over the years but it seems it's time to 'draw the line in the sand' and become more vocal.
Is this the correct path for Texas? Do we stay and fight the media as well as the leftist ideology or do we flat out fight the federal government for freedom? I wonder if if an independent Texas won't have the same problems?

Also should I re-up with the NRA? (Sorry had to throw that in there)

The feds would never let Texas go. For one thing, we'd take a more than proportional chunk of the economy with us. And we would give other like-minded states ideas of independence.

" give other like-minded states ideas of independence"

We in many other states, especially in the same region, already have that idea, but seek to stay with Texas when & if.

There will be problems dividing the Military and the humongous National Debt.

I now live about 100 miles from Texas, but keep all my Texas licenses & permits up-to-date in anticipation.

Many of our Families straddle the Sabine or the Red.

May GOD Bless and save us !

They were separating themselves from an unelected dictator that butchered his opposition.

Are you going to burn your Stars & Stripes and spit & kneel when the Star spangled Banner is sung?
Not me. I pledge my allegiance to the Flag and the USA, and will vote the scoundrel democrats out at the next election... the legal process that the Texans & Tejanos did not have.

Well, we know where your loyalty is.
    Mine is with Texas.

Personally, I think that remark was uncalled for. Just because there are socialist, or communist Democrats in our government, and they want to desecrate our American way of life, our values, and what this country is suppose to stand for, doesn't mean the American Flag, our Pledge of Allegiance, and other American symbols don't matter or are any less important.

Regardless of my thoughts and feelings on certain elected officials, I would never think of disrespecting any symbols of our country under any circumstances.

I consider myself a loyal Texan, but also a loyal American.

Agree or disagree with @Armybrat , but questioning his loyalty for being an American was over the line IMO.

    I didn’t disrespect any symbols.
Regardless of who’s in office, I’m a Texan first and when an institution proves to be detrimental to Texas and our way of life, I think we should separate from that institution.
I guess I could play the “If you hate Texas so much, why don’t you move somewhere else?” card but I won’t because it’s stupid.
