We must accept them.
They want their lifestyle choice to be treated the same as ethnicity. They want protection from discrimination so they have screamed loud enough and protested enough to get their way.

Actually, there was a strong movement of pedophiles to gain acceptance immediately after homosexuality was dropped from the DSM back in the 1970s. That was asking too much. Only a very few, quite radical elements bought into the whole "Pedosexuality is a legitimate sexual orientation" thing. The movement died a quick death.

As logical as it seems to bring up that particular boogeyman, realistically it will never happen.

Now, the polygamists have already got plenty of places where the law ignores them. And the necrophiliacs tend to victimize people who rarely contact the police. They're already in good shape.

Selfless service anyone? This is a wildly selfish lifestyle incompatible with good discipline and order. But then again, that's the goal. Socialists have relentlessly tried to rewire our culture by going after one cultural institution after the next.

I agree. They also are cliquish, promote their own, rabidly intolerant of opposing views and beliefs. They will utilize every means of taking out people who oppose them or disagree with their lifestyles. They love authority and power, especially the women. Most don't have families, kids to worry about, so they have more time to think about manipulating things in their work environment and rising in power. They have a greater allegiance to themselves and the goals/principles of their group, rather than the goals/principles of their company, military, or God and country.

Some that I know really are good workers, most are very friendly, but there is all this other underling stuff to contend with.

Not the military I left either. Public Displays of Affection occurred but they were muted. Gays were serving but they kept it to themselves. It seems now to be who can out gay the next gay. This social experiment is flawed when you are making men and women into warfighters not butt buddies!

Out of sheer curiosity, have you talked to any gay military men or women? Do you know any? I do, and at least for them military values (honor, pride, selfless service, etc) apply 24/7/365. Just because someone $#@!s the same gender doesn't make them any less capable of serving their country, and it's only when some jackass gets bent outta shape learning that he's serving with a gay guy that things go to hell.

This is coming from someone medically DQ'ed from service, by the way. I have nothing but respect for anyone and everyone that puts on the uniform, and reading, hearing or seeing shit like this thread makes my blood boil.

It would be nice were this true today, however its not. According to a Pentagon report about 6 mos ago maybe a bit less: Fastest growing sexual assault problem is male on male and its out of control. When I talk to recently retired Field Grades they echo the same thing, its a real problem in the ranks and getting worse. There is NO need to "come out" but Obama changed that and come out has become ACT OUT. And if you say or do anything, then its an EEO complaint and investigation, if you are an officer its career over time.

YES I knew gays from basic in '67 - '94, from E-1 - 06, never knew one that was anything other than a good soldier, but they kept their mouth shut. Today there is a wave of openly homo's coming in and they are not there for the same reasons...
