I sold all my bikes (3) in 2005 in order to not kill myself, I have no self-control, lol.
I purchased the car in order to get my "speed" fix.

I shore do miss it though.....

If your license hasn't expired yet, I'd be glad to let you ride one of my bikes, if you're up for it. But as they say, you break it you bought it.

I have 2 bikes in the shop right now, and none of them were my fault! Maybe I should stop loaning them out? I even sold a bike a few weeks ago because it was going to cost more to fix than the bike was worth. Argh!

And getting back on a bike with any bit of regularity is just another excuse to go gear shopping!

After I shattered my ankle on my CBR1000RR, my GF would kill me if I started riding again.
This was after breaking both collarbones (2 different wrecks)......she would have reason to be mad.

#1 Low-side on a gravel road. - I'm wondering what he was doing on a gravel road...
#2 Left the fuel lines open and gummed up the carburetor.
#3 (sold) Low-side in an apartment complex parking lot; claims to have hit an oil slick that washed out the front tire. - Maybe? lol

I've broken 6 bones, 7 times, on karts, jetskis, dirt bike, bicycles, but never a motorcycle. [Knocks on wood.]

I put 65,000 miles in 4 yrs. on my ZX9R before I sold it, wrecked it once early on, riding 3090, lol.

I never ride around in traffic much.

I kinda want to get a crotch rocket just for track days, but dunno if I really have the balls to push it hard enough. I'm pretty fearless on the braking when it comes to 4 wheels, tho. The secret to racing is that last person to brake either wins or goes into the wall

Haha I've got cruisers and sport bikes. Each has their pros and cons.

I got the 1098 with the intention of getting into track days. I did a few beginner courses at TWS but it never went any further. I'm much more comfortable (and faster) in my caged racecar - pun intended. lol

My buddies and I are riding up to BCS for the A&M game this weekend. I have 2 houses there, one of which is on 300 acres on the Brazos. We typically do a bunch of trap shooting and rifle plinking while we're there. If anybody goes for a ride up that way, hit me up. We can blast down 3090 and have a few beers - in THAT order! lol

I'm not sure what I'll be riding up there. It depends on who rides with me. Some of my friends have cruisers, some have sport bikes. We're always an odd-looking group... lol

I don't know anything about this bike except that it's bad to the bone.

Local dealer has a 08 KLR650 20k mi for sale $3,000 OTD. Good deal? Bike has been rode hard. Has Two Brothers exhaust, msr pegs. Fairings are fairly clean although they do show signs where it's been laid down offroad.

Second bike is a 07 KLR 15k miles for $3000 private sale. Engine is stock, does have some farkles and the usual maintenance has been done like the Doohickey mod. Worth it?
