Haven't been there in decades, but when we lived in Austin, Sandy's on Barton Springs Rd was one of our favorite hamburger joints.

Another was Holiday House, but that was closed due to a liberal vegan not renewing their lease.

Hut’s on the Drag is pretty good.
I've seen some mention time in Fredericksburg, Alamo Springs Cafe has a great burger. Even my vegetarian kid (I know, I know) liked it.

A friend of my wife 'used to' be a vegaholic, declaring she wouldn't eat anything with a 'face'.
Then one day shed her 'holier than thou cuz I don't eat meat attitude' and started back in to eating meat with gusto!
So there's hope for veggie types as it's often a pretense as they really, really want meat, but also want to be in with the latest cool people. (read hippie-like wannabes)
Their resolve shudders back into the weird closet it came out of when they discover just veggies make them weak and hungry no matter how much they stuff on non-meat.....
Humans are omnivores...we eat meat and veggies.
Pretending we're not for reasons of fake nobility doesn't last for most who go down that road.
If you're a veggie and nothing else person, good luck, it won't last.....

Grumps in Burleson & Cleburne isn't bad. Kincaids isn't what it used to be after they shut down the original and started expanding, but still not bad.
