"Although I am opposed to flying the "Confederate" flag, I don't feel that I have the moral authority to tell someone else that he can't make decisions about his own property or heritage."

If we push against a certain religion and make rules against how they dress or worship were no better than France. France sucks.

How about we only take stands against things that matter.

1.Obama is making it harder for people to live in the same country and get along.
2.Obamacare sucks. Congress, the Supreme Court and insurance companies are happy for you to pay more of your hard earned money to them.
3.Obamatrade will happen because the government hates you.
4.We will have more restrictive gun laws because eventually enough people will be to complacent to fight back.

Every race has been subjected to slavery at some point in history. Not institutionalizing slavery is a relatively recent thing in human history. It's still a common practice in some parts of Africa and the Middle East. People who seek to force and steal other people's labor will never go away; they just take new forms.
