I have both the Sig 938 and 238 and have carried both. In my opinion, the 238 shoots better. Smooth, slick, and very little recoil. I also have the S&W Shield 9mm, and it is my favorite gun hands down.

The gun range I go to has a raffle for a P7. Me and my brother rented one last Friday. Hated the trigger. Bad shape and softer-squishy feel in the first stage. He bought an XDM. I thought it was a better shooter. That's just my opinion. I like the trigger on the shield better.

If I was to carry a full size or compact- I'd have to assess all of my options. If I had to pick now -xdm compact, XDS 4.0, G26 all in 9mm. I have a past injury on my right hand so my pinky doesn't work = short grips don't bother me.

G19. You still get 9mm performance, easy to conceal, holds a ton of rounds, and an all around great shooter.

    Agreed.

I'd have to get bigger jeans. I wear 32 without a gun. 33-34 with a shield. Double stack? I don't know if I can fit it and I imagine it will print.

How big are you? I'm 175lbs, 6'1" medium build and I conceal it just fine. Then again, I wear my jeans a size bigger in the waist and loose-fitting shirts such as fishing shirts or larger tees.

For the longest time I carried a Ruger SP-101. It was small and a great shooting gun. Then I fell in love with the SR9. It is THE gun that brought be back to semi-autos. I carry the full size SR9 daily in a pancake holster bout 3-5 o'clock. I wear a suite to work everyday so that gives me cover. On the weekends I just add a sport coat to the jeans and shirt and get the same desired results.
