the wife and i like it well made reliable and decently accurate make a decent pocket pistol only drawback is it is a 380 so ammo selection is not the bestwhen compared to a 9mm!Anyone shoot one?

WTF you want a 380 for?
same here the walther is also much higher in price than the bersa380Ive had both. My 380 was a great carry gun and the sights are better than the ppk sights. The PPK is smaller but generally I like the Bersa Thunder 380 better
Duh?The ProMag is useless
As with all gone I have ever owned if they digest 200 rounds with no issues they are good to go. For the $300 I can afford to go through a few untill I get a good one. I'm looking for guns for my daughters to carrying their vehicles or on person depending their moods. They dislike shooting the 9mm a 45 may as well be a 44 mag and snub 38s have too much muzzle blast. I once had a 380 and I believe this will work out fine for them.If this is for concealed carry/personal defense as most guns this size are, then you will want to be sure it works reliably.
I looked into one about 10 yrs ago. If you get one that works, you will love your budget 380. But there seemed to be a percentage of them (hard to estimate based on anecdotes) that required warranty work. If you get one that doesn't work, you'll be pissed about having to coordinate with a "warranty center". According to Bersa's website, there are currently four in the US (MN, WI, IN, TX). The TX location is in Lott south of Waco. This so-called "center" appears to be a mom n' pop shop in a small town, but they likely get unlimited spare parts and lots of practice fixing them.
I never went through with the buy, but if I had, I would have bought used after test firing. You'll know if works and get an every better deal over new. As other have said, there are better guns in this size out there, even if they do cost a little more.
I have a Ruger LCPII--reliable, tiny, and inexpensive. I carry it when its really hot out and I want a pocket gun. Otherwise I have moved to microcompact 9mms like the Sig 365 as they are about the same size as the old 380s.
