    Out here by the lake!

I had a pair of Russell moccasin companies Safari P.H.'s made for me with the soft sole for stalking. They are the most comfortable boots I ever had. The construction of them is incredible.

Mine were custom made & fitted my feet, with a decent turn around time. I don't remember them being incredibly expensive at the time

Won’t be Danner. Have two pairs of American made Danner boots. They were $300 a pair. One pair I wore when I was a ranger in the BCP working for the City for over 5 years. Abused the hell out of them and sent them back to Danner to be rebuilt.( I think it was $100 for the rebuild) while I was waiting for them to come back I bought another pair.

Amazing boots. Buy once/cry once. You will not be disappointed.
Me too, the american made ones last forever, after I don't know after how many years I sent a pair back for rebuild. The sent a really nice letter and a discount coupon for a new pair cause those I sent back were destroyed and unrebuildable. On my new pair now worn every day doing construction, couple of years and going strong. This time I'm going to try to send them back before they are too fucked up, unless I retire first. Buy once cry once for sure.

I have a pair of Full Bore boots I wear a lot. Really nice boots.

You want to avoid waterproofing in the boots if you want them to remain cool.

I also have a pair of the USMC Tropical boots. AWESOME boots. I paid $75 for mine at the Danner Factory Store in Portland OR.

If that's the boot you want it's worth a phone call to see if they have them in stock there. They do ship.

Danners usually aren’t at a $100 price point.

I got these for under $100. Very comfortable, and I like the lower cut.

Looking for some tactical boots that won't burn my feet up in summer ?
    Budget is around $100

    Whatcha got?

5.11 has some boots closer to the $100 mark. but if your work requires you to stand more often outside, it'd be better to save up a couple more bucks for the Danners.

If you qualify, you can find pretty good deals on duty gear and such on govx.com

I’ve had two pair of Danner Boots, and loved them.

    But,

they are very hard to find in all sizes,

    and,

    they have become very expensive.

I saw a deal today on some lightweight Rothco boots that I HAD to buy.. I have worn them most of the day and I like them very much so far.

I was at Omaha's Surplus in Ft Worth and got to try these on.
Once I saw the tag..they were going home with me

I had a pair of those; they provide essentially zero ankle support. After falling while wearing them and walking in deep gravel and jacking my rotator cuff up when I hit a steel ladder in the sandbox, I threw them in the dumpster.

I wore them for 6 hrs yesterday and they felt fine to me. They also were not hot at all which I liked
Other than maybe getting a memory foam insert , I really like them.
They felt about the same as my old issue jungle boots but were lighter
I'm going to were them most of the day today.

Hope they work well for you. Keep us informed, who knows when I might need another pair of boots for that price.

Yeah.. never know if they upgraded factories or specs since you had yours but for $75, I figured why not try them out

I bought some Danner summer boots (Chinese made) and while mostly comfortable, the top of the boot was not padded and made them unwearable As they dug into my legs.

I bought a pair of American made regular Danners ($250 iirc) and while they are extremely comfortable, the sole wore smooth in less than 6 months and I don’t drag my feet. Danner sent me a coupon for less than half the price of the boots, but I couldn’t justify spending that much on boots that didn’t last.
