    Hog,

    Butt hurt?

    Sorry, I don't gay-speak, but I know a little Spanish.

Now remember your rule: 300BO Supersonic bullet for hog hunting will be the only things mentioned.

I do like that the Tac-Tx load can be zeroed at 50yards and really doesn't require any holdover out to 200 yards.

Need to find those bullets in stock somewhere so I can roll my own.

How do those ballistics compare to the SST?

    Not much different.

The SST shows to be about 4" low at 200 while the 110 Barnes was only about 2.25" low at the same distance. Both go about 1.5" high around 100-125 yards.

Based on the load data provided by the manufactures and what my ballistic app spits out using it.

    Actual results may vary.

    40A,

You keep straying off the thread topic with your focus on me...while your attention centering on me is weird, I can live without it.

Remember, this thread is about: 300BO Supersonic bullets!

This is actually based off a 125gr Nosler BT, couldn't find a load using the SST.

2.25" is pretty impressive. Will be interested to see how your loads develop!

Found the 110gr TSX online, gonna hunt for them local though.

Also going to pick up a pound of Win 296. Seems to be on the upper end of the velocity spectrum for both the 110s and 125.

Book says my 110 Vmax should be running at 1950 with 17.6gr of 4227 and I'm getting 2025 with 17.3gr. If I get the same little boost using Win296 I should be able to get around 2200fps from the 125s and a little over 2400 with the 110s.

Not sure if I will run them that fast though. Will see what the rifle likes.

I also noticed that the published max load for 4227 for a 110gr Vmax completely fills the case, may not be able to get to he published max.

Not sure. I used to use it but it got scarce for a while.

I believe it is lower volume than 4227 being a ball powder. Should settle a little more.

Might have more room for achieving the max then, right? Sorry if the questions are dumb....I don't reload but enjoy the skooling. ;)

    Not dumb.

I looked it up and Win 296 is a denser powder.

That doesn't always mean you have a better chance of meeting max charge. The denser powder could need a higher charge weight putting you in this same situation.

In this case, the loads are fairly close so it may work in my favor.
