I emailed him this morning early. I've been known to email my senators and reps in the past on various issues. Most have their office send a canned response the same day when you email early. Other times it's the next day.

Haven't heard anything back from his office yet. Has anyone else that emailed?
I emailed shortly before posting this thread. I did again when I couldnt get through to any of his dozen offices with my displeasure in the fact that ALL of his mailboxes were full. Also said it made me happy because that tells me people are as pissed as me about his actions. Check out Cruz, man I love that guy

I don't know who would be the best choice to replace Cornyn but here is another contender.

    Dwayne Stovall

Dwayne Stovall for U.S. Senator | Texans For Stovall

I don't know much about him, but I plan to vote against Cornyn in the primary.

Cornyn's wishy washy support for the 2nd amendment after Sandy Hook is what did it for me.
Maybe after all tthisis done we should start a thread for Cornyn's replacement so we vette a candidate properly. I know nothing of possible replacements I just know he wont have my vote.

Go over to his FB page - all that "Keep Texas Red" stuff will really piss you off, knowing that he's in cahoots with Harry F*ing Reid!!

I sent email and posted on FB. As someone else pointed out, his FB page is getting slammed with negative responses.

    Lousy bastard!

Cornyn like McCain has been in DC far too long, live with liberals and you become one.

I fell into the trap. I've been getting e-mails from him/campaign for months and was like "Cool, I like what this guy says." Now this? pfft. I think zombies ate his brain, or mine for believing a politician. Shame on me.

Yes, Ted Cruz is accomplishing something--increasing his name recognition. Otherwise, all that the house did and what Cruz is doing, is just bad theater. It has NO CHANCE of succeeding. The senate will not pass a bill defunding Obamacare. The revised bill will go back to the house for the next act in the Us vs Them play.

As it is now, the elite in congress are exempt from the costs and other drawbacks, and -- mark my words -- before the end of the year, organized crime (aka organized labor) will have been awarded special exemptions to keep their deluxe plans without penalty. Yes, the people on your payroll, and the people who drive up the cost of cars and many other things, will get special treatment, as always, paid for by you and me.

I am not a Cornyn fan, but what he proposed would do more to get the thing fixed. His amendment would require that the law apply to everyone--unions, congressmen, senators and their staffs, with no special provisions or subsidies, as it was written. It's only when the elite truly feel the same pain as us that they will be motivated to fix the problem. If you want to contact your elected reps, do so and tell them that if they get a break that you don't, then you will donate to, and campaign for, their opponent in the next election.

His bill was also grandstanding would not have passed, Cornyn is simply another progressive as most of the GOP hierarchy is, while they may be conservative with their own money but not with ours, sadly little difference between Dems /GOP and that is the reason so many people watching Ted Cruz.

Cornyn is also taking a pounding on the FB and Twittersphere. I also tried to call (nothing but busy signals and full mailbox) and email and let him know this wasn't the right stand to take. He'll vote for cloture, which will then give Reid the ability to amend the bill via simple majority (the Dems). They'll insert an amendment to add back ObamaCAIR, which Cornyn and McConnell will vote against. Then they'll tell the voters they "made a brave stand" against ObamaCAIR. When in fact, they opened the barn door to let it roll.

One other potential opponent (I know nothing about) I learned of this morning. Eric Wyatt.

But we need to be careful and vet an opponent. That moron that ran against McKaskill in MO was a plant. Some Progressive groups started some faux "TEA Party" organizations, then endorsed him. I'd wager they'd try the same in TX to help make sure a fellow Progressive (Cornyn) retains his seat.

Did you click the second link in my post that you quoted? It lists fax numbers for the eight offices he has. I dont have access to a fax machine or they'd be getting a personalized hand written letter.

It was a rhetorical question. I would thing that a fax would be more powerful than a phone call?

So I sent Greg Abbott a message on facebook about Cornyn's shenanigans and actually got a response. So if there was any doubt that he was going to get my vote for governor it is now gone. Hopefully this screenshot is readable.

Consider emailing Ted Cruz and thank him for fighting for freedom, also message Fox News to complain for there work in trying to marginalize Cruz. As for me Fox has passed my red line with there progressive commentators, Rove, Hume, O'Reilly.:mad:

ANY vote for cloture is basically a vote to fund ObamaCAIR. Cloture will give Reid the ability to add amendments with only Dhims supporting them. So he'll just add OZeroCare back in, which Cornyn will vote against, then claim "I voted against funding ObamaCare!" It will be kind or like opening the stall, the barn, the front gate, then going in the house and having dinner, then a few drinks, then walking onto the front porch and tossing a lasso out into the yard and claiming you tried to stop the horse from getting away.
